Welcome to the Practice Nurses & Staff web page of the Adelaide Western General Practice Network. Here we will provide you with a range of information, resources and links for practice nurses (enrolled and registered), practice managers and practice reception and administration staff.

AWGPN Practice Nurse Mentor
We welcome our latest member to join the AWGPN Practice Support Team, Jackie Averay, as Practice Nurse Mentor. Jackie is here to provide support and assistance to all GP Practice Nurses in Adelaide's west, including Quality Assessment Tool training. Please contact Jackie at the AWGPN Nurses Skills Centre on 8243 0489 for all your practice PN queries or email jacqueline.averay@awgpn.org.au

Online Forums (Moderated)
The online forums provide a vehicle to discuss practice staff issues for all staff at anytime of the day. You will need to contact us for a password for this. Online Forums

Practice Staff Network Meetings
Get to know your colleagues in other practices, share ideas and learn together. Attend our regular Network meetings.

Mentoring / Consulting Program
This program provides the combined support form the Adelaide Western General Practice Network staff to assist practice staff to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to function effectively. If there is a skill that is required by staff in your practice, you contact us and we find or broker the teaching to occur awgpn@awgpn.org.au

Skills Bank
We keep a list of knowledge and skills that other practice staff have self nominated their willingness to assist others. If you would like to register your skills to support others, please complete the checklist and email it to us at denise.mckenzie@awgpn.org.au.

Research Support Link
If you would like to undertake some research in your practice and need some further support to do so, please contact our staff awgpn@awgpn.org.au

Cycle Of Regular Educational Events For Practice Staff (RCNA Endorsed)
We have a regular cycle of minimum education for practice staff in the west. These include events like CPR, First Aid, immunisation and computer training. If you would like to access this or let us know your needs, please advise us at awgpn@awgpn.org.au. Many of our education programs are RCNA endorsed providers certified.

Special Events
Through the year we conduct special educational events, in particular with the launch of new products, or technologies. These events will be included on the Continuous Professional Development calendar and you are welcome to attend these.
