AWGPN Mental Health GP Shared Care
We are pleased to announce that the AWGPN is now able to offer GPs a shared care service for referred patients with a range of chronic and complex mental health conditions who would benefit from a shared care service. Clients can be seen at your practice. We welcome Mark Voce as our new Mental Health GP Shared Care Liaison Officer. Healthy Kids Check Medicare Items
The Australian Government has introduced a new item number in the Medicare Benefits Schedule for a 'Healthy Kids Check' (items 709 and 711). The item number has been introduced to support general practitioners and practice nurses to undertake a health check for a patient who is receiving or has received their 4 year old immunisation. AWGPN Welcomes Associate Members
The AWGPN would like to extend an invitation to other health professionals to become Associate Members of the Adelaide Western General Practice Network. The AWGPN Board believes that Associate Membership will better facilitate interaction between GP members and other GP practice team members and primary care providers in the Western region of Adelaide. It will also foster innovation and integration in Primary Health Care Services resulting in improved population health outcomes.
